Really?  You clicked this page?  On purpose?  Someone wants to know about me and this blog?  Well that just fills my little narcissistic heart with glee! This blog is the chronicles of a Yankee in Dixie as she learns to be "Mommy"and discovers her parenting style isn't quite what she thought it would be.

A few things about me:

I'm in my early 30s but my knees think I'm 87. 

I don't do any sort of crafty activities except crafting cocktails.

I was born and raised in Chicago and still consider it home even though I haven't lived there since I went away to college. 

I've lived in St. Paul, Minnesota and Savannah, Georgia but my newest and current home is the surprisingly awesome Cincinnati, Ohio.  

'Text' speak drives me up a wall. U is not a proper substitute for you. 

I never wanted to be a stay at home mom.  Now I am one and I kinda love it. 

I swear.  Like a sailor.  I'm trying to stop or at least limit what I say but I'm worried my son's first word won't be fit for the baby book. 

Who am I kidding? My son is never going to get a baby book unless someone does it for me. 

I'll be paying for my college degree until I die.  It's a shame I use it only to write a blog.

I get really, really, really excited over Chicago Bears football. 

I'm a really good cook. You should invite me to your parties because I'll probably bring something delicious. 

I started this blog because I like all attention on me I wanted out of town friends and family to watch Max grow but it's already become a bit about everything. 

No matter how hard I try to find them, there are going to be grammatical and spelling errors.  Sorry.  Please don't hate me. 

I get ridiculously happy when people leave friendly blog comments. *hint hint*

 I don't actually look like this unless I have several friends doing my makeup and a professional photographer taking my picture.
