I was busy

I didn't purposely stop blogging.  It wasn't some concious effort to spend more time with my family over the holidays.  It wasn't a pledge I signed with other bloggers.  I even composed multiple posts in my head but never posted them because I was busy.

Busy celebrating my 29th birthday (for the second time)

Busy attempting the 12 hour drive between Savannah, GA and Akron, OH.

Busy discovering rocking deals on hotel suites when we gave up the dream of driving 12 hours straight with a 9 month old.

Busy hugging familiar faces and meeting new ones.

Busy eating obscene amount of calories.

Busy opening an obscene amount of gifts

Busy curled up on a chair with my new love.

Busy catching projectile vomit in my hands at Christmas brunch and trying to calm a baby with another ear infection.

Busy finding an urgent care open the day after Christmas in Akron.

Busy enjoying midday naps and lunch dates with my husband while Grandma and Grandpa happily babysat.

Busy reveling in the joy of an upside down Christmas tree.

Busy playing in the snow.

Busy listening to my little man discover his voice and find his footing

Busy having the best two weeks of 2010.

Sounds like you were busy doing all of the right stuff.

Although catching projectile vomit in your hands... does not sound like fun.

Other than that, your holidays sound fantastic.

Looks like you guys had an awesome first holiday season! I'm glad Max got a chance to enjoy the snow, and it's even better that he didn't have to deal with it for very long! (says the girl born & raised in Chicago and who will probably never leave even though she gets sick of winter after a month).

Your two weeks (with the exception of the projectile vomiting) sounds amazing! I love the photo of the upside down tree. Awesome! How did you do that?!

I loved the video!! He is such a cutie! The "Ba-ba-ba" sounded almost like he was counting - "one-two-three" before pulling himself up again, LOL.

And I have to ask about that upside down Christmas tree!! How fun! How in the world did that get started?

Thanks for stopping by today!

So glad it was the best two weeks even with the vomit!

Tell me about the Kindle. I'm not sold quite yet. I'm not a book buyer so I'm no sure I would love it. I'm a library-goer and a book-borrower from others. What say you?
